Resumo
The study of private «Bookships» is extremely interesting in order to better understand the force of the book and publishing in general, as transmission vehicles of new ideas, especially in times of severe previous cersorship. In the case where their collectors are personalities of public relevance, as the case of Cardinal Saraiva, the interest of these studies is twofold, seeing as they help to understand the posture, options and paths followed in the course of their lives.
